Day Camp

Dates:  July 7-10, 2025               Price:  $300          Ages:  U9-U13 in Fall of 2025 (Birth Years 2013-2017)

Registration Opens at 8:00am on January 2, 2025.  Last year the Senior Group was Full by 5pm on the first day, and the Junior Group was Full by January 12th.

Day Camp is for players ranging from rec level to premiere level interested in competition, development, and fun. It is an individual skills based program that incorporates those basic techniques into a team/game setting. Each morning campers will receive instruction on the essential skills of passing, receiving, dribbling, turning, etc. These skills are then developed even further in small sided games and other activities.

Day Camp runs from Monday morning through Thursday afternoon.

Lunch is held at Messiah's acclaimed Lottie Nelson Dining Hall, followed up with either a video session or camp activities in the Student Union.  The afternoon is set aside for "League Games" which provides an opportunity for coaches to apply skills the campers have learned as well as teach basic attacking and defensive concepts.

We train/compete in two groups at camp--Juniors and Seniors.  The Junior Group is made up of players whose birth year is 2016-2017 and will be playing U9 and U10 in the Fall.  The Senior Group is made up players whose birth year is 2013-2015 and will be playing U11-U13 in the Fall.

Each camper will be assigned a team with a coach that will be with them for the entire week.  Many of our staff members are former players of the Messiah program, now coaching on the high school and college levels, who provide a passionate soccer learning experience. A number of our current players in the Messiah's men's soccer program are chosen on the basis of their ability to teach, demonstrate, and positively motivate young soccer players. Our coach-to-player ratio is 1:9, and all staff must be committed to high moral and ethical standards, and are required to fill out background checks.

Goalkeeper Training: In addition to field player training we offer goalkeeper training at Day Camp. They train together with our goalkeeper coaches in the morning session for approximately 1 hour then will be with their team the rest of the day: Ladder Tournament, Lunch, Competition, and League Games. For those campers that want both, we do offer the ability to train as a goalkeeper two days and as a field players two days.  If you want your son to receive goalkeeper training, you will be given the opportunity to sign up for it in the online registration process.

TESTIMONIAL FROM PARENT:

Brad,

I wanted to take a moment to commend you on a very successful week of camp. The boys from our area had a great time. But more importantly, the interest that your team shows in our kids is remarkable. At the end if the day, the kids aren't talking about goals scored, it's about the experiences shared with these young men.

I hope your players are aware of what an impact they have on our impressionable children. In a day where we struggle to find positive role models, your players and program shine.

Thanks again!
Amy, (Parent)
