Christian College ID Camp

 Dates: Sat-Sun, June 14-15,2005      Cost: $235          Age:  Rising 11-12th Graders        Registration Opens 8am January 2, 2025

There are three objectives for the Christian College ID Camp.  First it is designed to provide rising juniors and seniors with the opportunity to train at a high level.  Second, it is an opportunity to be evaluated in a focused setting by 10-12 Christian colleges. Last, it provides prospective student-athletes with a better understanding of how the Messiah coaches run sessions, interact with players, and the overall feel of the program.

Over 90% of the players on Messiah's roster attended ID Camp--numerous previous campers were identified and garnered spots at the other Christian colleges in attendance.

Christian Colleges Attending In 2024
Cairn University (PA);  Eastern University (PA); Eastern Mennonite University (VA); Geneva College (PA); Gordon College (MA); Grove City College (PA); Houghton College (MA); Lancaster Bible College (PA); Messiah University (PA); University of Valley Forge (PA), Waynesburg University (PA), and Wheaton College (IL).

Messiah University staff, former staff, and alumni will be running the sessions, but college coaches will be observing the training and 11v11 games. In addition, college coaches will be provided with numbered rosters and contact information so they can follow up with players after camp.

Field Player Training:The camp seeks to expose the players to in-depth technical and tactical training that is specific to the Messiah College men' soccer program. Campers will be assigned to a team and will train and play 11v11 with that group the entire camp.

Goalkeeper Training: We offer an excellent goalkeeper training section as part of our Christian College ID Camp. They train exclusively as goalkeepers for the training sessions and then are assigned a field for the evening sessions.

Evaluation: Each player will receive an assessment filled out by his Messiah camp coach that evaluates the player's ability in the following areas: possession, technical ability, attacking, defending, and attitude.
