Christian College ID Camp

June 5-6, 2021    $125    Grades:  Rising 11-12th

The purpose of the Christian College ID Camp is twofold. First and foremost the camp is meant to provide rising juniors and seniors with the opportunity to train at a high level. Second, it is meant to bring together individuals who seek to play at a Christian institution with Christian college coaches.

The first session will be Saturday afternoon allowing time for travel in the morning and will end Sunday afternoon allowing time for travel that evening.

Due to COVID19 we will not providing any housing or meals.  Here is a list of hotels in the area:  Local Hotels.  During breaks between sessions parents can take their children out to eat or you can bring food and find a spot along the Yellow Breeches to eat.

Messiah University will implement safety protocols and strategies closer to the time of the camp, in accordance with CDC and PA DOH guidelines in order to minimize risk of spread of COVID-19. You can expect these guidelines to include recording your temperature and a symptom assessment each day, social distancing, frequent hand sanitation, etc.

Over 80% of the players on Messiah's roster attended ID Camp--a number of other campers have garnered spots at the other Christian colleges in attendance.  Messiah University staff, former staff, and alumni will be running the sessions, but college coaches will be observing the training and 11v11 games. In addition, college coaches will be provided with numbered rosters and contact information so they can follow up with players after camp.

Field Player Training:The camp seeks to expose the players to in-depth technical and tactical training that is specific to the Messiah College men' soccer program. Campers will be assigned to a team and will train and play 11v11 with that group the entire camp.

Goalkeeper Training: We offer an excellent goalkeeper training section as part of our Christian College ID Camp. They train exclusively as goalkeepers for the training sessions and then are assigned a field for the 11v11 sessions.

Evaluation: Each player will receive an assessment filled out by his Messiah camp coach that evaluates the player's ability in the following areas: possession, technical ability, attacking, defending, and attitude.
